A. Basically the owners are are likely to provide a homely environment & hospitality.Providing their contact numbers and email id to book the tourists.
3. Is homestay like hotels ?
A. No.Hotel & Homestay both are differrent .A homestay is a place where you are treated like a guest; a hotel is a place where you are treated like a client. So to be more precise, what is a homestay? Homestay is a concept of local lodging where the guest is accommodated in the family's residence in a separate local quarter nearby
4.Can a guest use the hosts home address to receive mail?
A. It's up to our hosts discretion whether they wish to allow their guests to receive post to their address.
If the host doesn't allow mail to be sent to their home it will be stated within their house rules section.
We would like to suggest that our hosts add any information regarding not allowing guests send post to the homestay to the house rules section of the listing to inform guests in advance of making a booking.
Within the house rules section an alternative method of receiving post could be offered such as "should any guest wish to receive post, there is a post office/ mail centre x km's.miles from the house where any mail can be sent and held on your behalf" .
5. How do you verify hosts?
A. Any hosts that are connected with a Local Partner are visited by them before being listed on Homestay.com. Please note, Homestay.com do not visit or verify in person any homestays listed on the Homestay.com website. We ask that hosts confirm their email addresses and phone numbers during the signup process. We review every profile in detail before allowing the listing to appear on the website. Hosts connected with a Local Partner are required to upload ID/Proof of Address documentation or show it to the Local Partner during the homestay visit. Hosts who are not connected to a Local Partner are not obliged to provide documentation but encouraged to upload documentation whilst completing their profile. Documentation gives interested guests peace of mind and security when choosing to book and stay in a homestay so we encourage our hosts to upload documentation completing their profile.
6. What are the benefits of homestay?
A. With homestay, you can experience another culture without leaving home. Sharing your traditions, trying different foods and learning each other's language are just some of the enriching ways you can connect with your guests. Many families also develop life-long friendships with the international students they host.
